So far, we found very little information about Kingston. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Kingston , we believe that it would have been located within present day Custer County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Kingston, you might consider that their post office opened in 1889.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Kingston was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>
From that list, the Kingston post office opened in 1889.
