So far, we found very little information about Green. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Green to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Green , we believe that it would have been located within present day Custer County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Green, you might consider that their post office opened in 1886.
Time Zone: The area where Green was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
If Green still existed, it would have been in the (308) area code.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Green was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Green post office opened in 1886.
We also found Green on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
