Welcome to Girard ...
So far, we found very little information about Girard. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Girard to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Girard - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Girard, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Girard , we believe that it would have been located within present day Box Butte County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Girard, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was on a map dated 1895.
Time Zone: The area where Girard was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time
Girard would have been located in the (308) area code.

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 16 communities that are also named Girard - they are located in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas (2), Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Ohio, Pennsylvania (2), Texas and West Virginia.
