Welcome to Froid ...

So far, we found very little information about Froid. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Froid to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Froid - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Froid, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Froid , we believe that it would have been located within present day Deuel County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Froid, you might consider that their post office opened in 1886.

Time Zone: The area where Froid was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time

The location where Froid once stood is in the (308) area code.

Using our Gazetteer, we found another community named Froid - it's located in Montana.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Froid was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Froid post office opened in 1886.

We also found Froid on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
