So far, we found very little information about Elizabeth. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Elizabeth to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. While we don't have the exact location of Elizabeth , we believe that it would have been located within present day Lincoln County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Elizabeth, you might consider that their post office opened in 1887.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Elizabeth was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>
From that list, the Elizabeth post office opened in 1887.
We also found Elizabeth on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Nebraska (1895).
