With a 2010 count of 2,973 people, the population of Pembroke increased 23.93% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,399 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pembroke was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Pembroke post office opened in 1893.

We also found Pembroke in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
