While we don't have a date for the founding of Brookside, you might consider that their post office opened in 1895.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Brookside is 3,050 feet [930 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Brookside is about ½ mile above sea level.
Time Zone: The area where Brookside was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Brookside was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Brookside post office opened in 1895.
