Welcome to Knobs ...So far, we found very little information about Knobs. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Knobs to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Knobs, please Contact Us. Knobs would have been located within present day Fallon County<2>. The location of Knobs has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Knobs, you might consider that their post office opened in 1913. While the community is gone, the present day location for Knobs is 3,130 feet [954 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Knobs is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Knobs was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time If Knobs still existed, it would have been in the (406) area code.
