Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Sedan had an population of 48 people. This is an increase of 6.67% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 26.15% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Sedan had a population of 45 people. This makes Sedan the county's 9th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 45 people, the population of Sedan decreased 30.77% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 65 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Sedan was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Sedan post office opened in 1892.
