At the time of the 2010 Census, Lino Lakes had a population of 20,216 people (or 6.11% of the total population of Anoka County). This makes Lino Lakes the county's 6th most populous community.

The population of Lino Lakes represents 0.38% of the total population of Minnesota (which has 5,303,925 people), making it the state's 53rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 20,216 people, the population of Lino Lakes increased 20.4% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 16,791 people).
