From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Gheen was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Gheen post office opened in 1906.

We also found Gheen mentioned on a train schedule titled Canadian National Railroad Time Tables (October 1960).
