From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lansdowne was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Lansdowne post office opened in 1892.

We also found Lansdowne on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Maryland (1956).
