From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Teddy was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>
From that list, the Teddy post office opened in 1901.
We also found Teddy on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Louisiana (1911).
