At the time of the 2010 Census, Oswego had a population of 1,829 people (or 8.46% of the total population of Labette County). This makes Oswego the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Oswego represents 0.06% of the total population of Kansas (which has 2,853,118 people), making it the state's 132nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,829 people, the population of Oswego decreased 10.61% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,046 people).
