Welcome to Orchard Place ...

So far, we found very little information about Orchard Place. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Orchard Place to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Orchard Place - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Orchard Place, please Contact Us.


While we don't have the exact location of Orchard Place , we believe that it would have been located within present day Cook County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Orchard Place, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1886.

Time Zone: The area where Orchard Place was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

We originally found mention of Orchard Place in the FIPS-55 file. For more information, see the Referenced FIPS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Orchard Place was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Orchard Place post office opened in 1886.

We also found Orchard Place in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
