From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Darlington was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Darlington post office opened in 1902.

We also found Darlington mentioned on a train schedule titled Union Pacific Railroad Time Tables (September 1924).
