Welcome to War Hill ...

So far, we found very little information about War Hill. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added War Hill to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of War Hill - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with War Hill, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of War Hill , we believe that it would have been located within present day Hall County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of War Hill, you might consider that their post office opened in 1850.

Time Zone: The area where War Hill was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time

If War Hill still existed, it would have been in the (770) area code.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned War Hill was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the War Hill post office opened in 1850.

We also found War Hill in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
