While we don't have a date for the founding of Tilley, you might consider that their post office opened in 1895.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Tilley is 520 feet [158 m] above sea level.<4>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Tilley was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Tilley post office opened in 1895.
We also found Tilley on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1899.
