From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Bethany was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Bethany post office opened in 1900.

We also found Bethany on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Georgia (1911).
