Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Naples had an population of 21,868 people. This is an increase of 11.93% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 4.25% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Naples had a population of 19,537 people (or 6.08% of the total population of Collier County). This makes Naples the county's most populous community.

The population of Naples represents 0.1% of the total population of Florida (which has 18,801,310 people), making it the state's 106th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 19,537 people, the population of Naples decreased 6.86% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 20,976 people).

We originally found mention of Naples in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Naples was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Naples post office opened in 1888.

We also found Naples in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
