Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Limon had an population of 1,948 people. This is an increase of 3.62% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 5.94% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Limon had a population of 1,880 people (or 34.39% of the total population of Lincoln County). This makes Limon the county's most populous community.

The population of Limon represents 0.04% of the total population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 114th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 1,880 people, the population of Limon decreased 9.22% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 2,071 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Limon was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Limon post office opened in 1903.

We also found Limon mentioned on a train schedule titled Southern Pacific Railroad Time Tables (July 1929).
