Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Commerce City had an population of 57,904 people. This is an increase of 26.12% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 175.85% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Commerce City had a population of 45,913 people (or 10.4% of the total population of Adams County). This makes Commerce City the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Commerce City represents 0.91% of the total population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 18th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 45,913 people, the population of Commerce City increased 118.73% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 20,991 people).
