From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hammonton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
From that list, the Hammonton post office opened in 1906.
We also found Hammonton on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for California (1956).
