Welcome to Eubanks ...

So far, we found very little information about Eubanks. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Eubanks to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Eubanks - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Eubanks, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Eubanks , we believe that it would have been located within present day Shasta County<2>.

Eubanks was established in 1905.

The origin (or the toponymy) of Eubanks: Named after J. Cal Eubanks.

Time Zone: The area where Eubanks was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time

Eubanks would have been located in the (530) area code.

Communities Also Named Eubanks ...

Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 6 communities that are also named Eubanks - they are located in Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Virginia (2).

Adding Eubanks to Our Gazetteer ...

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Eubanks was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Eubanks post office opened in 1905.

Footnotes ...

<1>We use the term 'Historic' broadly and it generally means that the community no longer exists. However, it can also mean that the community might still exist, but was significantly larger or had a more 'official' existence in the past than it does now. Unfortunately our sources of data have proven to be unreliable. If you can provide us with more specific information about Eubanks, please let us know so that we can improve our accuracy.
<2>If you're interested in how the shape of California's counties, including Shasta, have changed over time, we recommend the Atlas of Historical County Boundaries.
