Welcome to Ray ...So far, we found very little information about Ray. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Ray to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Ray, please Contact Us. Ray would have been located within present day Pinal County<2>. The location of Ray has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Ray, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899. While the community is gone, the present day location for Ray is 2,120 feet [646 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the elevation of Ray is about ½ mile above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Ray was located is in the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST) and does not observe daylight saving time Communities Also Named Ray ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 26 communities that are also named Ray - they are located in Alabama (2), Florida, Illinois, Indiana (2), Iowa, Kansas (2), Kentucky (2), Michigan (2), Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada (2), New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas (2) and Virginia.
