The location of Etta has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Etta, you might consider that their post office opened in 1889. While the community is gone, the present day location for Etta is 240 feet [73 m] above sea level.<4>.
